The STI-605IR security camera housing has the same basic clamshell construction as our popular STI-605 outdoor housing, and includes a bank of infrared LEDs that radiate up to 30 meters (~98 feet), depending upon atmospheric conditions. It's intended for full size cameras with infrared sensitivity that lack built-in IR LEDs. Like the basic STI-605 housing, it's weatherproof and has a lockable metal latch and is designed for box-style surveillance cameras. Sealed by rubberized weatherstrips that give this housing an IP66 rating. An indoor security camera placed inside this housing can safely be mounted outdoors and remain protected and fully functional. Perfect for our 553-series professional full size color security cameras.
The internal infrared LEDs can run off your camera's 12VDC power supply or a seperate 12VDC power supply (if your camera power supply can not handle the additional power requirements). We recommend using a separate power supply. There are 22 IR LEDs under photo-sensor control.
