The STI-553HQD contains an EXTRA high resolution Sony HQ1 video sensor that can output 540 line resolution video and a low light sensing chipset that provides video down to 0.05 Lux and is IR sensitive. This full size indoor security camera can accept C mount or CS mount lenses and dual power (12VDC or 24VAC), which makes it incredibly versatile. It provides an excellent image with low lag and high burn resistance and is not subject to distortions from magnetic fields. Controls provided on the back of the camera for easy adjustment. Easily fits inside most commercial protective housings for outdoor operation, if required.

Along with the Sony premium quality Super HAD video sensor this camera also includes switchable back light compensation and support for DC and Video-drive auto iris lenses. Add your own C- or CS-mount industry standard lens and save money, or purchase new lenses from our Q5 USA warehouse (click here). Power supply is flexible - 12VDC or 24VAC - and very easy to connect. The input terminal is non-polarized, meaning it doesn't require a polarity match when connecting DC power to the camera. Just connect DC power and the camera senses the negative/positive terminal and makes the appropriate compensation internally. You never have to worry about accidentally hooking up DC power backwards and burning up the camera (a distressingly common failure during installation - a mistake even professionals commit from time to time).
Please note that this camera does not include an internal infrared light source. If you want to take advantage of its infrared light sensitive features, you will need to provide IR illumination using a commercially available IR Illuminator (like our STI-IR30 Infrared Illuminator/Projector - click here).
