Remotely Power up to 4 Security Cameras

Save money with this 4-port security camera hub using CAT5 cable (with RJ-45 type connector) instead of coaxial cable. This is an active device that includes its own power supply. Please note it does not include CAT5 cables.

You can connect up to 4 cameras to this powered hub using CAT5 cables up to 50 meters (164 feet) long . Power for the cameras is supplied by the hub (the hub has its own power supply). Each camera must have an STI-B45PW balun, which breaks out the power supply from the CAT5 cable for connection to the camera power input. The CCTV cameras send video signals to the hub, where they are converted to a set of twisted pair conductors and routed to an RJ45 style connector for output to another CAT5 cable. Using this device a single CAT5 cable can carry video signals from up to four security cameras. Output from the hub can drive video signals up to 600 meters (1968.5 feet) for monochrome, or 400 meters (1312.3 feet) for color, to a transceiver at the far end. We recommend STI-B4X4, which will break out the 4 CCTV camera signals and send them to 4 BNC output connectors, which you can then connect to monitors, switchers or to a DVR. See the diagram below.

using this balun with our 4-camera hub for multi-camera installations

If the diagram shown above is exactly what you want to do, then you will need additional products STI-B45PW and STI-B4X4 to complete your system.
