This indoor dome camera has Sony HQ1 high resolution (540-lines) video sensor and a built-in infrared LED array that can light up the night at a range of 20 meters (65.6 feet). An auto-iris lens automatically adjusts to allow the maximum amount of available light to hit the video sensor for optimal performance. Superior IR operation is obtained by Smart Technology controlled LEDs and an automatic mechanical IR filter that minimizes or eliminates focus shift that is common to cheaper cameras.

Enhanced video quality under low and no visible light is possible due to the Sony infrared sensitive video sensor and an array of infrared LEDs under Smart Technology control. The camera automatically senses brightness and available light and turns on groups of IR LEDs in 4 stages - 6, 12, 18, and 28 units on/off as required. Video quality is further enhanced in this premium camera by the addition of a mechanical IR filter and a 3.8-9.5mm varifocal auto-iris lens. The design of the dome and the materials used in construction also help to eliminate infrared glare that can be associated with cameras of this design.

Advanced design features make this camera easy to setup, install and maintain. You can select 12VDC or 24VAC power input (the camera accepts either with no special settings). When you place it or move it you can easily check the aim and focus with a portable monitor - a test composite output (RCA jack) is built into the camera itself so there's no need for a second person or a trip to a remote location to verify camera aim. The internal bracket design allows movement in 3 axis, so you can point the camera virtually anywhere once you've attached it to a wall or ceiling.

The internal test monitor output makes changes easy so it's a great time saver if you're putting a camera up in an area that might change due to placement of furniture, artwork, vendor booths, kiosks, and similar objects that force you to alter the aim of the camera. An internal gimbaled bracket allows easy aiming no matter how you mount the dome - on a wall, a ceiling, or even on an oblique surface. You can still orient the picture correctly.

This dome camera contains a strobing white LED that flashes every few seconds to let you know the camera is operational. It also makes it obvious that your location has surveillance cameras - you can't miss this tiny strobe at night. It flashes about once every 2-3 seconds and is very noticeable in the dead black of a dark night. Not only will it tell would-be criminals you've got cameras, it will draw attention to your business after-hours and increase awareness. NOTE: This LED can be disabled without effecting your warranty if you do not want this feature.
