It is easy to research hidden cameras using the Internet but by making your own hidden camera you can make it unique and unrecognizable. You can also better fit it to your local environment, which will help make it undetectable.
Field of View
This fixed-focus lens gives you a wide angle field of view. At 10' from the lens it can monitor an area approximately 15' wide by 11.4' vertical. At 25' from the lens this increases to approximately 37.5' horizontal and 28.5' vertical. Use the table on this page for more information.
Keep Your Subject in Focus
To keep the subject(s) you want to monitor in focus, please keep in mind that focus with any fixed-focus lens will be dependent upon camera placement. If you are making a hidden camera or a spy camera, you will have some control over focus by adjusting the lens in the camera mount prior to final placement. With fixed-focus lenses like this you will obtain the best image when the subject you are monitoring is in the range of 5-25' from the camera. Objects outside of that range will appear out of focus.
