Suggested placement: Use this CS-mount lens with any industry standard CCTV security camera that takes CS-mount lenses, or with a C-mount style camera WITH C-ring (see below). You can easily adjust the focus (and lock it in), which gives you many placement options beyond a fixed-focus lens. The automatic iris adjusts to light levels to help insure you always get a good image.
CS-Mount Camera Lens
The distance from the surface where the lens comes in contact with the camera to the focal point (the "flange back") of a CS mount lens is 12.5mm (0.492"). This is 5mm shorter than a C mount lens. Most professional cameras are CS mount cameras and include a C-ring, so they can us a C mount lens OR a CS mount lens. You can not use a C mount camera with a CS mount lens.
Focus and Field of View
This is a manually adjustable varifocal lens with telephoto range setting of 6mm to 60mm. Field of view and focus will be completely dependent on how you adjust the lens. Use the table on this page for more information on field of view. The auto-iris operates using DC level control signals provided by the security camera.
